This is essentially what my lecturer said to me today. Sort of.
Basically, I really want to be an academic researcher in Philosophy. I love writing essays and researching philosophy, and unless I magically get good enough at writing novels to earn a living from it, philosophical research is the only thing that I can see myself doing when I grow up.

I’ve got all my reading done for tomorrow’s seminar, which is nice enough, but the icing on the cake was speaking to my Grandma - her heart scan was fine and they even managed to clear the 5-inch blockage in her leg vein that was scaring the doctors and that gave her so much pain.
And, to top it all off, I get to go see the boyfriend tomorrow night for the weekend :)

Well an identical position of that title opened up and the HR lady called me to let me know, asking me if I am still interested.
OH HELL YES I AM.
So they are now running my background check and since I know my record is clean I should have myself a job in 5-10 days.
