Feeling a bit better after talking to people, especially after I found out that The Bad Thing isn’t going to happen after all (so that’s made me feel a lot less guilty as he now doesn’t have to face it alone, which was one of the big reasons I stood by him).

One issue though, the nature of The Bad Thing suggests that Damien will have known about it ending when it did (over a week ago). Which, if this is the case, he’s been using it as emotional blackmail for the last week to keep me around (which does explain why it’s been coming up randomly in conversations).

I was really thick and called him to tell him (I know, I know, but I thought it’d take a ton off his mind and cheer him up). He sounded surprised… but the surprise sounded forced… or maybe that’s my imagination :/

Then again, it could be that he honestly didn’t know…

In any case it’s finished. The Bad Thing and the relationship.

Now I just have to focus on getting through the next few weeks.

But I’ll start with getting through tonight.
