Woman knocks Pope down at Christmas Mass:

Pope is celebrating the traditional Christmas Mass, despite being knocked down by a woman at the start of the service in St Peter’s Basilica.

The woman - who is said to be mentally unstable - jumped the security barriers as Benedict XVI entered the basilica, causing the pontiff to fall.

Hey, what do you know! I’m feeling damn festive ^.^ So forgive any overly Christmassy posts today :p

My hair’s been cut (albeit not that well) and the living room has been re-arranged to accommodate the 14 people attending Christmas dinner tomorrow :)

Now just to assist my Grandma with cooking the turkey (we have cold meat on the day, in fairness she’s 76 and cooking for 14 people, so we’ll forgive her :P) and eat my body weight in chocolate and mine pies* :D

*Don’t worry, that’s what New Year’s Resolutions/the Wii fit/Gym membership is for ;)

I’ve finished all of my urgently due work now :D I had my flatmate hand in my essays that are due on Friday on my behalf (thank you, Sadie ^.^) and an hour ago I emailed in the final supervised draft for my seminar study (I don’t have to hand in my completed essay until 12th January :) )

Therefore, I can now:

*Try (again) to learn Norwegian
*Edit last year’s NaNo-Novel (this year’s can go to hell ¬_¬ :P)
*Play Computer games
*Have a social life

I’m so damn happy I might just eat the chocolate bar I’ve had saved since my birthday :P
